Councillor Paul Lynch has represented Chiswick Riverside since 1990. He has lived there for thirty years, but first saw his present house in 1967, when rowing from University of London Boathouse in Hartington Road, W4. He is always happiest afloat, and ensures that the Borough of Hounslow is an enthusiastic riparian borough. He always uses the river for official trips if possible, and is very grateful to Chiswick Sea Cadets and to the West London River Group for providing boats when necessary. The two joined forces to make a grand occasion of the 2009 Tudor Pageant, when in full Mayoral regalia, he escorted King Henry VIII from boundary to boundary of Borough of Hounslow. He looks forward to increasing the range and number of projects carried out by Thames Strategy (Kew to Chelsea) to encourage use of the river and its banks, and improve the environment.
